Dear readers:
Do you have knowledge and/or experience that our readers could benefit from? Please consider sharing it!
We want to hear from ophthalmologists, optometrists, laser manufacturers, laser clinic directors/management, professional bodies, regulatory authorities, and other professionals with expertise, information and views about some aspect of laser vision correction.
Please consider writing an article for our Guest Column. We would be happy to suggest a subject on request. (Or, you may want to browse through our Candidates or Patients sections for ideas.) Broadly speaking the categories of greatest interest to us include:
a) information and viewpoints which could assist candidates in better understanding laser vision correction, assessing their suitability, setting their expectations, selecting a surgeon and/or clinic, and ensuring they have the safest experience possible; and
b) information and viewpoints which could assist patients who have less than ideal outcomes from surgery, particularly with respect to diagnosis or treatments of any of the complications or adverse effects covered in our Patients section.
Guest column submission process
1. Contact us if you have any questions or want to discuss the content of your article.
2. Please consult the requirements before you write your article.
3. Click here to submit an article for review. Please make sure you include:
- Your article.
- Your name and telephone number (required for anonymous subissions as well).
- A photograph (optional) for the feature link.
- The personal details you wish to be listed with the article (this may contain any or all of: name, title, company, website, email address).
- If the submission is intended to be anonymous, you must also submit an explanation of the special circumstances which in your judgment render anonymity necessary.
4. We will contact you within seven days of submission.
5. Accepted articles will be posted as the feature column on the front page for a minimum of three days and will remain the feature column until the next article is accepted. Thereafter articles will be filed by date, title and authors name in the Column Archives section for permanent reference by readers. If your article is left in the feature spot for more than one day and you would prefer to have it archived, we will do so at your request.
Requirements
All articles will be subject to review. We cannot guarantee that your article will be published, but we will do our best. Our goal is to post a wide variety of views from a wide variety of sources.
Title: Must be ten words or fewer.
Format: Please submit articles in MS Word or Powerpoint format. Illustrations and/or photographs are welcome. We may need to make minor formatting revisions to enable our vision-challenged readers better access to your article.
Content: You are responsible to ensure your submission does not contain any falsehoods or libellous statements. LaserMyEye reserves the right to reject an article if this appears questionable. However, we will do our best to work with you on suitable revisions if there is any such problem.
Thank you for considering writing an article for our guest column. We look forward to hearing from you!
