Night vision disturbance (NVD)
(Nocturnal glare, night glare, GASH)

IN BRIEF

Vision quality defects apparent in low light or dark. The best-known examples are starbursts and haloes, but NVD is sometimes used to refer more broadly to both point-light generated vision defects like those and to other defects such as poor contrast sensitivity.

NVD is the most common side effect of laser eye surgery after dry eye syndrome.
