A complication of LASIK where small folds or wrinkles develop in the flap when it is laid back on top of the stroma.
Flap folds are usually treated by lifting the flap, irrigating and stretching it, and sometimes suturing it down to prevent recurrence.
Flap folds are more likely to occur in patients with high prescriptions.
