Induced astigmatism

IN BRIEF

Astigmatism caused by laser eye surgery.

DISCUSSION

Astigmatism can result from an overcorrection of laser eye surgery or from certain complications.

Please note that the term induced astigmatism is sometimes inaccurately used to refer to induced irregular astigmatism, which is a different ball of wax, as it cannot be corrected with glasses.
