Haze

IN BRIEF

Corneal scarring causing opacification, clouding or blurring of vision.

DISCUSSION

Haze is most frequently associated with RK and other surface ablation techniques, but it also occurs sometimes in LASIK. In surface ablation, the risk of haze is thought to be greatly reduced with the use of mytomycin C.
