Deep-set orbits
| IN BRIEF |
Eyes which are set far back in the sockets.
| |
| DISCUSSION |
Deep set orbits are a contraindication for LASIK because of the difficulty of affixing the microkeratome properly and achieving good suction, and the resulting much higher frequency of flap complications such as short flaps or buttonhole flaps.
