Alphagan is a topical medication for glaucoma. However, as a miotic with a reasonable side effect profile it is prescribed by many eye doctors to patients with night vision disturbance.
Alphagan works to reduce night vision symptoms by reducing the pupil size to be entirely within, rather than expanding outside of, the optical zone the patient received during laser eye surgery.
Unfortunately for patients with severe night vision disturbance, medical studies indicate that brimonidine loses its effectiveness in reducing pupil size if used regularly. |
